2011/01/11 - New Pure Art Boutique Now Open -

Our second Pure Art  Boutique is now open at 5182 Sherbrooke Street in Montreal! This new shop in Westmount will compliment the original flagship Boutique in Hudson (422 Main Road) and allow us to extend the opportunity to shop with a purpose to an ever expanding number of supporters in the area.
Experience “Shopping With a Purpose^TM” at the new Pure Art Boutique at 5128 Sherbrooke and connect with world artisans and their communities through a web of collaborative “fair trade” initiatives with the goal of helping relieve poverty in a sustainable manner. 2010/07/16 - The Pure Art Boutique opens in Hudson, Quebec -

Now open! The long-awaited opening of the flag-ship Pure Art Boutique in the village of Hudson, Quebec greets visitors with a promise of something unique and inspiring.  Displaying carefully selected artistic creations of artisans sharing the Pure Art vision of "Shopping With A Purpose", makes this an experience that you will want to share with others. Spending a few minutes with the Pure Art team, will instantly transport you to artisans a world away, and to the one-of-a-kind gifts that compassionate hands have delivered through fair-trade and sustainable collaboration.

2010/04/17 - Working with more artisans in Cusco, Peru -

Returning to Peru, Pure Art expands its team of collaborative relationships by partnering with new artisans in the foothills of Cusco. A new collection of 100% baby alpaca sweaters, are specifically designed for Pure Art, and destined for the new Boutique. In addition, fresh alliances with groups sharing the Pure Art vision, join forces to provide products that will ultimately support local  co-op initiatives focused on such issues as single-mother safe environments. One partner in particular, directly participates with the International Women's Healt Coalition  supporting educational activities with women throughout Peru.

2010/03/12 - Sustainable projects growing in Peru -

Returning to the Amazon basin in March of this year, the Pure Art team met with the native Shipibo Indian women outside of Pucallpa Peru, where a year earlier Pure Art had provided manual sewing machines, thread and fabric to craft hand made creations. This locally sustainable project initiated by Pure Art provides a fair and equitable exchange to support the program going forward. These beautifully designed items, now a part of the Pure Art collection, are destined for the new Pure Art Boutique, to open summer 2010 in Canada. Among the distinctive bags, placemats and other hand-sewn products emerges a unique line of jewelry that will also help support the Shipibo women's initiatives. Sales of the "Seeds of Hope" bracelets and special "Hearts of the Amazon" necklaces will support the Pure Art goal of providing a Shipibo Women's co-op workshop planned for 2011.

2010/01/01 - More artists join the Pure Art Team -

The Pure Art team travels to Asia and fosters collaborative relationships with dedicated artisans in India, Nepal and Tibet. The goal of this journey, to establish sustainable projects with gifted artists offering unique products, while ensuring fair and responsible trade practices in line with the Pure Art vision. Such fair-trade items created with compassion directly by artisans in Nepal, add a fresh  level of creativity to "shopping with a purpose". Of the newest editions, a uniquely desiged collection of clothing emerges from the talented artisans in Kathmandu, and found only at Pure Art. Also available, a variety of Nepalese felt products prepared through a women's co-op will be available through Pure Art, supporting women's initiatives in the hills of Kathmandu.

2009/01/01 - Compassion+Talent+Creativity=Artistic Collaboration -
