Our Sabari Embroidered Wool Shawl features rich crewel embroidery on a soft blend of 80% wool and 20% polyester. This classically beautiful shawl showcases the intricate embroidery traditions of Northern India in vibrant autumn shades on a black base. Eco-printing with real leaf pigments. "Eco-printing" or "botanical printing" has no synthetic inks, dyes or pigments. The Nuno felt scarves are hand-dyed with the pigments of real leaves. Leaves cascade down the scarf and are bundled with string and steamed for three hours to create these leaf imprints in warm colors. After a day, the scarf is cleaned with sea salt water and sun-dried for several more hours. Not one is alike.
It is a unique gift with its own imprint.
